Dubai eGovernment Department hosted a high-profile official delegation from Morocco headed by Deputy Minister Mohammed Abbou.  The visiting group sought to closely study the emirate’seServices framework with regard to the provision of electronic services and creation of a robust eGovernance system. During the visit, the delegation was given a detailed presentation on Dubai eGovernment, its history, its 2,000- plus eServices and the various systems, core services, technologies, and quality standards, which have made it one of the most advanced electronic governments in the Middle East. The meeting also discussed sharing of best practices, knowledge and ideas between the parties.   Ahmed Mohammed Bin Humaidan, Director-General, Dubai eGovernment, said:‘We are pleased to assist the Moroccan Government by sharing views, expertise and best practices in the area of eServices. We aspire to promote cooperation with the various Arab government bodies in line with our goal of creating an Arab society based on digital knowledge, which gives priority to the provision of eServices in accordance with the highest global standards.’  Commenting on the visit, Thani Abdullah Al Zafeen, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai eGovernment, said:‘The meeting with the Moroccan delegation proved extremely fruitful and represents a significant move towards expanding eServices in the Arab World. The UAE plays an important role in this regard, due to its leadership in eServices system implementation and the integrated quality standards the country has adopted in this framework. We hope thisvisit will be the beginning of more collaborative efforts to promote eGovernance and information technology.’
