The Contracts & Purchasing section at the Department of Health and Medical Services, in association with the DOHMS IT Department and the Government Resources Planning Department in Ruler’s Court, has launched a new service to cater to suppliers, enabling them to enquire about their financial dues electronically and round the clock. The new service is aimed at saving clients’ time and effort and simplifying the settlement of their financial affairs with thedepartment.
Mohammed Juma Muftah, Director of purchasing & contract, DOHMS, explaining the significance of this service said it enabled clients to follow up on their payments online, avoiding the inconvenience of travelling to the premises. The department organized workshops to highlight the advantages of the system and illustrated how to utilize it. Moreover, the department has distributed a booklet to explain how to login to the system website. The workshop attracted over 300 clients, representing companies and institutions from all emirates.
