As part of its drive to offer fully automated services, the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) has recently launched two eServices on its website, www.dewa.gov.ae, to facilitate inquiry of utility bill, either by entering consumer account number through DEWA website or by sending SMS text messages.

Towards a Unified“Suggestions”System
Over the years, at e4all, we have received many creative suggestions and ideas from a number of individuals, each of which could work out to be the basis for a successful partnership between the proposer and the government department. However, many people are reluctant to propose to government departments because of the lack of a clear incentive system and the absence of a mechanism that would produce mutual benefits.
ePay: Successful Despite Poor Response from Some Banks
In 2008, around 1 million transactions valued at more than Dh. 1 billion were transacted through “ePay”, the electronic payment gateway developed by Dubai eGovernment. This is more than four times the amount collected the previous year.
