The Department of Dubai eGovernment successfully organised the first forum for government departments involved with the enhanced Government eServices Statistics System (GeSS) on March 10, 2009, at the Police Officer’s Club in Dubai.
As part of its drive to offer fully automated services, the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) has recently launched two eServices on its website, www.dewa.gov.ae, to facilitate inquiry of utility bill, either by entering consumer account number through DEWA website or by sending SMS text messages.

ePay: Successful Despite Poor Response from Some Banks In 2008, around 1 million transactions valued at more than Dh. 1 billion were transacted through “ePay”, the electronic payment gateway developed by Dubai eGovernment. This is more than four times the amount collected the previous year.
